    • $Because / As / Since + Subject + Verb$
    • $Because\ of / Due\ to / Owing\ to + Noun\ (ou\ Gerund\ -ing)$
  • La Conséquence (Quel résultat ?) :
    • $Subject + Verb, \text{ so } + Clause$
    • $Subject + Verb. \text{ Therefore, } / \text{ Consequently, } + Clause$
  • Le But (Dans quel objectif ?) :
    • $To / In\ order\ to / So\ as\ to + Verb\ (infinitive)$
    • $So\ that + Subject + can/could/will/would + Verb$

Méthodes à maîtriser

Rédiger un paragraphe sur un problème social : Pour réussir une production écrite sur ce thème, suivez toujours ce plan en 3 étapes :

  1. Definition : Présenter le problème (ex: Unemployment is a serious social issue...).
  2. Causes & Consequences : Expliquer pourquoi il existe et ses effets (ex: Due to the lack of jobs, many people suffer from poverty...).
  3. Solutions : Proposer des idées (ex: To solve this, the government should...).

Exemples corrigés

Transformation de phrase (Cause $\rightarrow$ Conséquence) :

  • Question : Many people are unemployed because they lack skills. (Use: Therefore)
  • Réponse : Many people lack skills; therefore, they are unemployed.

Transformation de phrase (But) :

  • Question : He studies hard so that he can get a good job. (Use: In order to)
  • Réponse : He studies hard in order to get a good job.

Erreurs fréquentes

  • Confondre "Because" et "Because of" :
    • ❌ Incorrect : He is sad because the poverty.
    • ✅ Correct : He is sad because of the poverty. (On utilise "because of" devant un nom).
  • Oublier le "that" après "so" (pour le but) :
    • ❌ Incorrect : I work hard so I can help my family.
    • ✅ Correct : I work hard so that I can help my family.

1/4

Many people suffer from hunger ________ poverty.

❓ Questions fréquentes

Chno lfarq bin "because" w "because of"?

C'est une erreur très courante. La règle est simple :

  1. Because est une conjonction. Elle doit être suivie d'une phrase complète (Sujet + Verbe).
    • Exemple : I am happy because I passed my exam.
  2. Because of est une préposition. Elle doit être suivie d'un groupe nominal (un nom) ou d'un verbe en $-ing$.
    • Exemple : I am happy because of my success.

💡 À retenir : $Because + Sujet + Verbe$ | $Because\ of + Nom$.

Kifach nkteb paragraph 3la l'unemployment?

Pour écrire un paragraphe efficace sur le chômage, utilise cette structure :

  1. Introduction : Définis le chômage (ex: Unemployment means being without a job).
  2. Développement :
    • Donne une cause : Due to the lack of education...
    • Donne une conséquence : As a result, people live in poverty.
  3. Conclusion : Propose une solution : To reduce unemployment, the government must create more jobs.

💡 À retenir : Utilise des connecteurs logiques ($First, Second, Finally$) pour organiser tes idées.

Wash darori nsta3mel "in my opinion" f kolla l'essay?

Non, ce n'est pas obligatoire, mais c'est utile pour introduire ton point de vue personnel. Cependant, pour varier ton style et paraître plus "expert", tu peux utiliser d'autres expressions comme :

  • I believe that...
  • From my point of view...
  • To my mind...
  • As far as I am concerned...

💡 À retenir : Varie tes expressions pour éviter la répétition et améliorer ta note en "Vocabulary".

What is the difference between "crime" and "criminal"?
  1. Crime est un nom qui désigne l'acte illégal lui-même (le délit).
    • Exemple : Stealing is a crime.
  2. Criminal est un nom qui désigne la personne qui commet l'acte.
    • Exemple : The criminal was arrested by the police.

💡 À retenir : $Crime = \text{l'action}$ | $Criminal = \text{la personne}$.

How can I express the purpose of an action?

Tu peux utiliser deux structures principales :

  1. Avec un verbe à l'infinitif : $To / In\ order\ to / So\ as\ to + Verb$.
    • Exemple : He works hard to support his family.
  2. Avec une proposition (sujet + verbe) : $So\ that + Subject + can/could/will/would + Verb$.
    • Exemple : He works hard so that he can support his family.

💡 À retenir : Si tu as un sujet après le connecteur, utilise "so that".

What are some causes of poverty?

Voici quelques causes que tu peux utiliser dans tes rédactions :

  1. Unemployment: Not having a job.
  2. Illiteracy: Not being able to read or write.
  3. Lack of education: Not having access to schools.
  4. War or instability: Conflicts in a country.

💡 À retenir : Apprends ces mots par cœur pour enrichir tes paragraphes.

Can I use "therefore" at the beginning of a sentence?

Oui, absolument. "Therefore" est un adverbe de transition qui exprime la conséquence. Il est souvent placé au début d'une nouvelle phrase pour montrer le résultat de la phrase précédente.

  • Exemple : The weather was terrible. Therefore, the match was cancelled.

💡 À retenir : N'oublie pas la virgule après "Therefore" en début de phrase.

What is "child labor"?

Child labor refers to the exploitation of children through any form of work that deprives them of their childhood, interferes with their ability to attend regular school, and is mentally, physically, socially, or morally harmful.

💡 À retenir : C'est un sujet fréquent dans les examens (Social Problems).

How to use "due to"?

"Due to" fonctionne exactement comme "because of". Il est suivi d'un nom ou d'un groupe nominal.

  • Exemple : The flight was delayed due to bad weather. (Bad weather = nom).
  • Exemple : Due to his illness, he stayed home.

💡 À retenir : $Due\ to + Noun$.

What is "gender inequality"?

Gender inequality is the social process by which men and women are not treated equally. It can involve differences in pay, education, or rights.

💡 À retenir : C'est un problème lié aux droits de l'homme (Human Rights).

What is the difference between "so" and "so that"?
  1. So exprime la conséquence (résultat).
    • Exemple : It was raining, so I took an umbrella.
  2. So that exprime le but (objectif).
    • Exemple : I took an umbrella so that I wouldn't get wet.

💡 À retenir : $So = \text{Conséquence}$ | $So\ that = \text{But}$.

What is "illiteracy"?

Illiteracy is the inability to read or write. It is a major social problem because it prevents people from getting good jobs and participating in society.

💡 À retenir : L'inverse de "illiteracy" est "literacy" (l'alphabétisation).
