- Present Simple $\rightarrow$ Past Simple
- Present Continuous $\rightarrow$ Past Continuous
- Past Simple / Present Perfect $\rightarrow$ Past Perfect
- Will $\rightarrow$ Would / Can $\rightarrow$ Could
- Pronoms et déterminants : Ils changent selon le contexte (ex: I devient he/she).
- Indicateurs de temps et lieu :
- Now $\rightarrow$ then
- Today $\rightarrow$ that day
- Here $\rightarrow$ there
- Tomorrow $\rightarrow$ the next day
Méthodes à maîtriser
- Déclaratives : Utiliser that (optionnel) après le verbe introducteur.
- Interrogatives :
- Questions fermées (Yes/No) : Utiliser if ou whether.
- Questions ouvertes (Wh- questions) : Garder le mot interrogatif (what, where, why).
- Attention : L'ordre des mots devient sujet + verbe (forme affirmative).
- Impératives : Utiliser la structure verb + object + to + infinitive (ex: He told me to study).
Exemples corrigés
- Direct : "I am working here," he said.
- Reported : He said (that) he was working there.
- Direct : "Did you finish your homework?" she asked me.
- Reported : She asked me if I had finished my homework.
Erreurs fréquentes
- Oublier le backshift quand le verbe introducteur est au passé.
- Garder l'inversion sujet-auxiliaire dans les questions rapportées (ex: He asked where was I est faux $\rightarrow$ He asked where I was).
- Confondre say (sans complément) et tell (avec complément : tell me, tell him).
