Erreurs fréquentes

  • Confusion Cause/But : Utiliser "because" quand on veut exprimer un but.
    • Faux : I study science because I want to be a doctor. (C'est correct grammaticalement, mais si on veut exprimer l'intention pure, on préfère "in order to").
    • Mieux : I study science in order to become a doctor.
  • Erreur de structure après "Due to" : Mettre une phrase complète après "due to".
    • Faux : Due to the technology is new...
    • Correct : Due to the new technology... (Il faut un groupe nominal).
  • Oubli du "can/could" après "so that" :
    • Faux : We use computers so that we work faster.
    • Correct : We use computers so that we can work faster.
